I love capturing all the special details from small to large that you've carefully chosen to be a part of your wedding day!
I always like to arrive early and take time to say hello and check if there's anything you need me to help you with or any last minute changes. Then I can take up to 45 minutes to capture and style your details. If you can choose a getting ready location filled with natural light, that's amazing. And please keep your space free from clutter as much as possible (or just ask your girls to do some quick tidying up when I get there)!
It's wonderful if you get the time to put your rings, jewellery, shoes, veil, perfume, invitations and other keepsakes together in one spot for me. You can unwrap your dress but don't worry about styling it - I'll find a pretty spot to hang it. Or if we're short for time, I'll just photograph the dress details while you're wearing it. Oh and don't forget a 'picture pretty' hanger that's strong enough to manage your dress weight.
Here's a checklist for you to consider for your flatlay details photo.

Bonus items
I once had a bride bring her grandmother's hand mirror. This is completely optional - so please do bring something sentimental that you might like included, I love including family heirlooms in detail shots.
Also great to have are a few cuts of the florals you'll be using throughout your wedding day. If your florist could spare a few extra pieces so I can incorporate those in your detail shots, that would be marvellous! Or extra confetti, ribbons or anything that's part of your theme, I can look at how to include it.
Rings
I always take photos of your rings while you're getting ready and while you are enjoying your wedding breakfast. If possible, try to have your engagement ring cleaned or clean it yourself. To clean at home, soak your ring in warm water with dishwashing soap for 20 to 40 minutes. Then gently brush the stone with a soft toothbrush, rinse and repeat if needed.
I hope you find this helpful xx ❤️
