BALLIOL COLLEGE WEDDING
A Sophisticated Celebration at Balliol College, Oxford.
Eloise and Dom’s wedding at Balliol College, Oxford, seamlessly blended elegance, history, and personal touches, creating an unforgettable celebration. Although the day began with heavy rain, the weather took a magical turn as the ceremony ended—the clouds parted, and the sun shone, adding an extra layer of beauty to the occasion. From intimate preparations in the Master’s Lodgings to the energetic ceilidh that capped off the evening, their day reflected their unique and adventurous spirit.
A Morning of Anticipation
Eloise began her day in the serene Master’s Lodgings, a space steeped in history. Morning light cast a soft glow as she and her closest friends prepared for the day ahead. Her bridal look, combining a timeless gown and delicate accessories, epitomised understated luxury and reflected her sophisticated, fashion-forward style.

A Grand Ceremony in the Chapel
The ceremony in the awe-inspiring Balliol College Chapel was both grand and intimate. With soaring ceilings and intricate stained glass, the chapel provided a stunning backdrop for Eloise and Dom’s vows. A string trio of family friends created an enchanting atmosphere, while the chamber choir and organ added depth and emotion, making each moment profoundly special.

Bride and Groom Portraits
Having explored the beautiful grounds of Balliol College during their pre-wedding session, we knew exactly where to take Eloise and Dom for their wedding day portraits. Eloise, who loves to snuggle up to Dom, found this to be one of her favourite parts of the day. She would have happily carried on longer, enjoying this precious, cuddly time together amidst the stunning backdrop of the college.

A Reception in the Historic Hall
Guests were welcomed into the Hall for the reception, where the vaulted ceiling and exquisite portraits set the tone for an extraordinary dining experience. As candles flickered at dusk, the space transformed into a romantic haven. Eloise and Dom chose to forego traditional elements like a wedding cake, focusing instead on creating a relaxed yet refined atmosphere.
An Evening of Energy and Connection
The couple’s first dance launched an energetic ceilidh, perfectly matching their adventurous lifestyle. The room buzzed with laughter and movement as family and friends joined in. As passionate climbers and skiers who met through their university mountaineering club, Eloise and Dom’s love for adventure was shared by many guests.
After the ceilidh, the celebrations continued in another Dining Room, where live music from the ‘Rough Edge Band,’ featuring Dom’s cousin Alex on trombone, kept the party alive. The vibrant atmosphere perfectly captured the joyous spirit of the day.
